Whether it’s creating something entirely new or reimagining your existing jewelry, the bespoke design process allows you to create one of a kind pieces that reflect your individuality, commemorate important milestones, and celebrate your personal style.
The end result is something entirely your own and perfectly suited to the way you want to wear and enjoy your fine jewelry. Along the way you’ll have personalized professional advice to help ensure the process is approachable, transparent, and fun.
The Process
Starting with an initial consultation, we will discuss your goals and review any existing valuables you’d like to incorporate. Shortly after, an initial round of sketches, images and ideas will be shared for your feedback. Once you’ve selected a design direction, a cost estimate will be provided along with a realistic computer rendering of your finished piece(s). If you’re not entirely happy with any aspect of the design, or if you need to make adjustments to align with your ideal budget, this stage includes the time and flexibility to make those changes.
Once approved, the metal portion of your jewelry is created as a wax model so you know exactly how your finished jewelry will look and feel. Once the wax is approved, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the estimated cost of your project is required to proceed. If you’re recycling any previous settings for a metal credit this amount will be deducted from the final amount due.
From wax approval to finished piece takes approximately 6-8 weeks depending on the complexity of the design. Rush production may be available for an additional charge.
The Fine Print
Final payment is due within 30 days of receipt of your finished jewelry. Customers outside of Illinois are responsible for reporting and paying local sales tax unless otherwise arranged during the initial consultation.
We offer three years of complimentary repairs, cleaning and polishing. Damage caused by negligence or improper wear will not be covered.
While unlikely, given the delicate nature of gemstones some damage is possible during the removal and resetting process. We work exclusively with experienced and trusted goldsmiths to reduce these risks, and should damage occur you are entitled to a full refund of your deposit, repolishing or repair of your stone(s), or help sourcing a replacement. We cannot be held responsible for the full cost of replacing your valuables but will do everything possible to avoid and resolve such incidents.
